We are looking for a
to join our Film Sensitizing Department in Rochester, NY
position will primarily work with the Maintenance and Engineering Staff in the Film Sensitizing Department. In this role the candidate will work under the direction of qualified mechanics, electricians, and engineers. The primary goal is to give the student exposure to our manufacturing processes. The candidate will be able to gain experience and knowledge working with various equipment relative to Film Sensitizing manufacturing processes including PLCs, robots, automatic guided vehicles, and an automated storage and retrieval system.
The intern will fill a crucial role ensuring continuous operation, maintenance of quality standards, and compliance with environmental requirements. To achieve this, the intern will work closely with manufacturing personnel and technical staff. The intern will also have at least one project assigned to them.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure that a safe work environment is maintained and in compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
Start, monitor, and regulate equipment in a safe manner, making adjustments in response to, and anticipation of, operational and quality issues.
Communicate with mechanics, electricians, supervisors, engineers, and operations to relay and coordinate production and quality requirements.
Assist different mechanics to investigate and find the root cause of problems.
Develop, continuously improve, and communicate the best available process practices.
Must be willing to work extended hours if necessary, to meet deadlines or to ensure resolution of plant problems
Capable of maintaining a safe work culture.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Basic Knowledge of PLC’s and ladder logic.
Strong mechanical aptitude and skills.
Able to read and interpret electronic data and make appropriate decisions.
Strong computer skills.
Good communications skills.
Team builder with leadership potential.
Proactive and self-directed.
Must be able to work in dark room conditions
Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Must be enrolled in a certified Mechatronics BS or AAS program and seeking an internship position.
